Xinjiang Singer Mining Company started construction of the first phase of 2 million tons open pit mine on June 6, 2009, and completed it in September 2009. In order to speed up the development and construction of Shaerhu coalfield, Shanshan County has set up a special leading group and field headquarters, and actively took measures to promote the preliminary planning and construction of Shaerhu coalfield to develop water, electricity, roads and railways logistics parks. Among them, the water supply source and the water for the first phase of the line are led from the water source of Qiketai Town to Shaer Lake, and exploration and organization are under way. Shanshan Railway Station Loulan 220kV Substation to Qiketai and Shaerhu110kV power transmission and transformation projects are also under construction.
