Baidu Encyclopedia shows that Botou West Station is one of the intermediate stations of Shihengcang Port Intercity Railway, located in Botou City, Cangzhou City, Hebei Province, and a site under the jurisdiction of China Railway Beijing Bureau Group Co., Ltd. Shihengcang Port Intercity Railway is an important part of the "four verticals, four horizontals and one ring" intercity railway network of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration, with a total investment of more than 30 billion yuan.
Botou West Station started the preliminary construction procedure on April 20 17, completed the approval of Shihengcang Port project on May 2, 20 18, and entered the substantive construction stage on August 5, 2020.
