China Taiping Insurance originated from three national brands: Taiping Insurance, China Insurance and Min 'an Insurance. 1956, according to the unified arrangement of the state, China Insurance and Taiping Insurance closed their domestic business and focused on insurance business in Hong Kong, Macao and overseas. From 65438 to 0999, all overseas state-owned insurance institutions were under the management of China Insurance Co., Ltd., and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2000, becoming the first overseas listed insurance company in China.

In 20 13, it was restructured and listed as a whole, and was officially renamed as China Taiping insurance group co., ltd.
