On August 1, four anti-counterfeiting enterprises sued AQSIQ. The reason is that since April 2005, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine has promoted the electronic product quality supervision network business operated by CITIC Guo Jian Company in China, requiring manufacturers to print supervision codes on their product packages. They think that the administrative actions of AQSIQ are illegal.
In April 2008, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine publicly stated that it would withdraw its shares from CITIC State Inspection. It is worth mentioning that CITIC State Inspection is actually a private joint venture company indirectly controlled by Chen Xiaoying. She actually holds CITIC 2 1 Century Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CITIC 2 1 Century") through the shares held by institutions and individuals, and CITIC 2 1 Century Telecom, a wholly-owned subsidiary of CITIC 2 1 Century, owns 50% of the interests of CITIC State Inspection.
