Brief introduction of AXA
AXA is the largest insurance group in the world. At first, it was a mechanical joint venture of many mutual insurance companies, and now it is the largest insurance company in the world (like Allianz in Germany and ING in the Netherlands) and an asset management giant. AXA Financial, a subsidiary of AXA in the United States, holds a majority stake in Alliance Capital Management. At the same time, there are many subsidiaries overseas. AXA UK, a British AXA insurance company, is the predecessor of Sun Life Insurance and Provincial Holdings. In Australia, AXA Asia Pacific, an AXA Asia Pacific insurance company, is the predecessor of National Mutual, a national mutual insurance company. Belgium has AXA Belgium insurance company AXA Belgium, which is the predecessor of Royal Belgian insurance company Royale Belge. These subsidiaries of AXA are engaged in life insurance, personal property and accident insurance, corporate property and accident insurance, reinsurance, financial services and real estate investment.
