The main construction contents include: 28,093 tons of steel structure, 37,428 tons of pipelines, 6,052 tons of equipment, 318,298 square meters of corrosion protection, 213,873 square meters of thermal insulation, 0/085 square meters of fire protection, 0/534 kilometers of electrical cables and 98 meters of instrument cables.
After the first batch of project management teams of Wu Jian Company arrived at the site on May 2 1, without overseas experience, resources and space, they overcame difficulties such as hot climate and frequent sandstorms, took the initiative to get familiar with the drawings and site, worked out the construction scheme and technical scheme, and accelerated the construction of temporary facilities and various preparations before construction. In order to race against time, they voluntarily gave up their rest time and insisted on working 1.5 hours every day, which is 12 hours every day. In the preliminary preparation, they actively kept in touch with the management personnel of Saudi Jizan Refinery Project Department of Wu Jian Company, received strong support, enjoyed resources and avoided many detours.
According to Wang Shihong, deputy chief engineer of Wu Jian Company and public works project manager of Saudi Jizan Company, the temporary facilities will build a living camp of nearly 200,000 square meters and a prefabricated yard of 300,000 square meters. At present, the construction of temporary facilities and construction preparations are being accelerated. The first batch of 2,000 tons of steel structures has arrived, and it is expected that on-site steel structure installation will begin in August.
