Shaanxi Qinchuan Machine Tool Group Co., Ltd., formerly known as Qinchuan Machine Tool Factory, moved from Shanghai Machine Tool Factory to Baoji City, Shaanxi Province in 1965. It is a key enterprise in the national machinery industry, mainly producing precision machine tools, machine tool hydraulic parts and machine tool castings. 1994 was identified by the State Council as one of the national 100 pilot enterprises to establish a modern enterprise system. 1995, Qinchuan Machine Tool Factory was restructured into Qinchuan Machine Tool Group Co., Ltd., a wholly state-owned company.
