Like other branches of Veolia Environment Group, Veolia Transportation is very optimistic about China's economic development, and is willing to use its accumulated professional experience in global business to establish long-term friendly cooperative partnerships with governments at all levels in China and local enterprises, so as to contribute to the construction of a sustainable China city.

As early as 2005, Connex, the predecessor of Veolia Transportation, set up an office in China to prepare for opening up the Asian market. At the beginning of 2006, according to the overall strategic adjustment of the group company, Kangyunsi Company officially changed its name to Veolia Transportation, and used a unified company logo with the other three business groups under the group. In July, 2007, the company decided to formally establish its regional headquarters in Asia, and set its headquarters in Beijing, China.

In less than two years, Veolia Transportation's China team has established close ties with more than 30 cities in China, which are located in different areas. On June 5438+February, 2008, Veolia Transport and its partners established the first joint-venture public transport operation company in China, which marked that our business cooperation with China city entered a new substantive stage. We believe that the operation quality of China's urban public transport network will reach the world leading level and become the representative of the sustainable development of international cities.

After just over two years' work, Veolia Transportation has established close ties with more than 30 cities in China, and its business scope includes conventional bus projects, BRT projects, light rail projects, subway projects and railway freight projects.

On September 22, 2008, Veolia Transportation China Co., Ltd. signed a cooperation agreement with Nanjing Zhongbei (Group) to jointly establish Nanjing Zhongbei Veolia Transportation Co., Ltd., which is responsible for operating public transportation systems in six cities in Anhui and Jiangsu provinces. This project marks that Veolia Transportation's business development in China has entered a substantial new stage.

On June 5th+10/October 2nd1day, 2009, MTRC obtained the franchise of Stockholm Metro from Veolia Transport Company. Veolia therefore appealed to the relevant parties in Stockholm, but it was eventually rejected. On April 7th of the same year, Veolia Transport (China) announced that it would purchase half of the shares of Hongkong Tramways Limited and take charge of its daily operation.
