Baotou No.3 Thermal Power Plant of Northern United Power Co., Ltd. was built in 1926, which is one of the oldest power plants in western China and is known as the cradle of power industry in Inner Mongolia. The old factory is located in Bayantala Street, Donghe District. As the cradle of Inner Mongolia electric power, it has made great contributions to the economic development of Baotou City, with a total installed capacity of 24,000 kilowatts, and once undertook the heating task of 3 million square meters in Donghe District.
