What is the relationship between PBL and 4C ability of future core literacy?

Educators have different views on what core skills students should have in the 2 1 century, but the core content is the same, that is, their premise is effective learning or deeper learning.

In 2002, P2 1 (American 2 1 Century Skills Partnership), a non-profit alliance organization initiated by the National Education Association (NEA), the US Department of Education, the AOL time warner Inc. Company Foundation, Apple Computer Company and Microsoft Company, aims to promote the core position of K 12 education in the United States, and it is 265438+. P 12 organization has identified four most important learning skills 4C that students must possess in the 2 1 century:

Critical thinking

Communication skills

Cooperative team cooperation ability

Creativity creativity

These skills have been recognized and supported by American national education and leaders, including President Obama. 20 16, 16 10. In October, members of the U.S. House of Representatives set up the 2 1 century skills group, which extended the training goal of 4C ability to schools, school districts and career development courses. With the assistance of the Gates Foundation in the United States, the Obama administration has vigorously carried out educational reforms in the United States, and promoted the interdisciplinary teaching of CCSS (common core standard system) and STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Math), hoping to help students improve their 4C ability through these changes.

PBL(Project Based Learning) refers to a project-based and student-centered teaching method. Different from the traditional teaching method based on teachers' lectures, PBL project teaching method emphasizes students' active learning, links learning with tasks or problems, and enables students to complete tasks and solve problems.

PBL will design real tasks, emphasize the design of learning process into complex and meaningful project scenes, and solve problems through learners' independent inquiry and cooperation, so as to learn the knowledge hidden behind the problems, help them cultivate their ability to challenge and solve practical problems, and learn independently.

PBL advocates learner-centered learning under the guidance of teachers. Teachers are mentors, coaches, listeners and referees, not imparting and inculcating knowledge. Students are the main body of learning and obtaining information, and they are the participants, coordinators and responsible persons of the project, rather than passive recipients and objects of being instilled with knowledge.

Through PBL, students can master the learning ability of 265438+4C in the 20th century, which is hard to obtain in traditional classroom: critical thinking, creativity, communication and teamwork.

I am He Qiuma, and I will continue to share the theory, experience and cases of practicing PBL at home. Welcome to pay attention to communication.
