Baiyin Company is the earliest large-scale copper and sulfur production enterprise in New China, and it is also one of the key construction projects during the First Five-Year Plan period 156. 1954 started construction, and 1960 completed the production process of mining, dressing and smelting, forming an annual production scale of 30,000 tons of electrolytic copper and 0.7 million tons of sulfuric acid. At the end of 1970s, lead-zinc mine mining, mineral processing and smelting production systems were built one after another. By the end of 1978, Baiyin company had been the first in the same industry in China for 18 years. The accumulated profit before the tax reform is three times that of the state investment in the same period, which is higher than the national average of the same industry. The new processes of "silver smelting copper method" and "silver smelting pool enrichment copper smelting" have been created, which have made great contributions to national economic construction and local economic development. During the "Seventh Five-Year Plan" and "Eighth Five-Year Plan" period, in view of the depletion of two copper mines in Baiyin Company, in order to continue to give play to the advantages of non-ferrous smelting industrial bases, the state invested in the construction of "two factories and one mine", namely, the northwest lead-zinc smelter with an annual output of 6.5438+0.5 million tons of lead and zinc, the Baiyin aluminum smelter with an annual output of 6.5438+0 million tons of aluminum ingots in the early 1990s and the Changba lead-zinc mine with an annual output of 3,500 tons. At this point, the products of Baiyin Company have expanded from copper and sulfur in the early days of the factory to copper, aluminum, lead, zinc, gold, silver and sulfur, and the smelting capacity has reached 3 1 10,000 tons. In recent years, through the continuous improvement of the "two factories and one mine" project, by the end of 2003, Baiyin Company has formed an annual production capacity of 2 million tons, with an annual output of 400,000 tons of copper, aluminum, lead and zinc, 3,000 kilograms of gold, 6,543.8+000 tons of silver, 56,500 tons of non-ferrous metal processing materials, 480,000 tons of sulfuric acid, 7,900 tons of mineral processing reagents and.
Since the establishment of the factory, Baiyin Company has produced 3.92 million tons of four kinds of non-ferrous metal products for the country and paid 5.6 billion yuan in profits and taxes. It has become a large enterprise group integrating the production of copper, aluminum, lead, zinc, gold, silver, sulfur, metal alloys and other non-ferrous metal products, and integrating mining, mineral processing, smelting, chemical industry, processing, scientific research and domestic and foreign trade. At present, Baiyin Company ranks 6th among the top 60 enterprises in the province,11(in 2002) among the top 50 enterprises with sales revenue of non-ferrous systems in China, and 470th among the top 500 enterprises in China (in 2003).
