Which country introduced IMAX?

IMAX is a Canadian company, but in recent years, many people think that IMAX is an American company, because it focuses on transforming Hollywood commercial blockbusters into IMAX or IMAX 3D versions, and because the company is listed on NASDAQ in the United States. It has basically made Hollywood blockbusters. At present, dozens of Hollywood blockbusters have been transformed into IMAX movies or IMAX 3D movies through IMAX DMR technology (digital original reproduction technology), including Alice in Wonderland, Avatar, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Transformers, Star Trek, The Dark Knight, Spider-Man 3 and so on.
