Why is there no supervisor in Article 148 of the Company Law?

Article 148 of the Company Law stipulates that the establishment of supervisors is conditional. In joint stock limited companies and wholly state-owned enterprises, the establishment of supervisors is mandatory. In other types of enterprises, supervisors may or may not be established through the provisions of the articles of association. Therefore, if there is no supervisor in the articles of association, Article 148 of the Company Law does not force the company to set up a supervisor. The establishment of supervisors is related to the company's type, scale, industry and other factors, which need to be decided by the company according to its own specific conditions.
