Baoti Group Co., Ltd. was established in 1965. It is a national key enterprise invested and built with "902" as the engineering code to meet the needs of national defense and military industry and the development of cutting-edge science and technology during the "Three Five-Year Plan" period. Formerly known as 902 Factory, 1972 was renamed as Baoji Nonferrous Metal Processing Factory, which belongs to the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry.
1983 was placed under the management of China Nonferrous Metals Industry Corporation, and 1999 was placed under the management of China Rare and Rare Earth Group Corporation. In 2000, it was transferred to Shaanxi Province and was subordinate to Shaanxi Nonferrous Metals Holding Group Co., Ltd. In 2005, in order to establish a modern enterprise system and straighten out the management relationship of state-owned assets, the whole factory was restructured into Baoti Group Co., Ltd.
