China National Nuclear Overseas Uranium Resources Development Corporation (CNNC) was inaugurated in Beijing at the end of 2006, which indicates that CNNC has taken a substantial first step in implementing the national "going out" strategy and increasing the development of overseas uranium resources. China National Nuclear Overseas Uranium Resources Development Corporation is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China National Nuclear Corporation and has the qualification of an independent enterprise legal person. The company undertakes the tasks of China National Nuclear Corporation's overseas uranium resource exploration, resource evaluation, mine and Shui Ye plant construction investment, and natural uranium production and management. It is a platform for overseas uranium resources development and project financing of CNNC.
