China General Nuclear Power Group is the main force of nuclear power development in China. Daya Bay Nuclear Power Station is the first large-scale commercial nuclear power station in Chinese mainland, which was built in the early stage of reform and opening up. At present, it undertakes the construction of a number of nuclear power plants, such as the second phase of Liaoning Ling 'ao Nuclear Power Plant, Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Plant and Fujian Ningde Nuclear Power Plant, and has the ability to start construction, operate and manage a number of clean energy projects such as nuclear power and wind power for the whole country, across regions and at multiple bases at the same time.
Xianning nuclear power project is the third nuclear power plant adopting passive advanced pressurized water reactor technology (AP 1000) after sanmen nuclear power plant in Zhejiang and Haiyang in Shandong. This technology has attracted the attention of China nuclear power industry. It is the only third-generation nuclear power technology finally designed and approved by the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and it is also the most advanced and safest nuclear power technology in the global nuclear power market.
The Xianning nuclear power project with a total investment of more than 60 billion yuan is owned by Hubei Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. and is jointly established by China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group and hubei energy Group Co., Ltd. (the two parties hold 60% and 40% respectively, with China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group accounting for the majority). When the company was established in June 2008, it was predicted that after two years of preparation and five and a half years of main project construction, Hubei would use nuclear power for the first time.
