Li, born in 1940, is a professor at Zhejiang University, a young and middle-aged expert with outstanding contributions at the national level, and a winner of the second prize of national invention and the second prize of national natural science. He co-chaired dozens of national key research projects and research topics with Academician Queduanlin, and took the lead in inventing vacuum nitrogen-filled Czochralski silicon single crystal and nitrogen-protected silicon single crystal technology in the world.
