Xi Traffic Engineering School was developed on the basis of Xi Far East Technical Training Center founded by AVIC First Group Company Xi Far East Company 1953. 1990 was renamed Xi' an Far East Aviation Industry Training Institute, and in 2000 it was renamed Xi' an Far East Aviation Industry Institute, focusing on aviation services, ground security inspection and aircraft maintenance.
After more than ten years of reform and development, it has now formed a specialized college focusing on the three major directions of "civil aviation service management, railway passenger service and electrified railway technology" to train aviation service talents and railway transportation talents.

Xi 'an Traffic Engineering School is located in Fengdong New Town, Xixian New Area, a national economic and technological development zone at the starting point of the ancient Silk Road. East of Epang Palace site in Qin Dynasty. Kunming Lake is adjacent to the north, and it is close to urban trunk lines such as ring expressway and subway.
The school site has been moved, and it was stable in Wang Si Street in 2005. There are ancient and famous trees, exotic flowers and herbs in the campus, with simple architectural style and complete training facilities. There are two independent teaching buildings.
There are two student apartments, a computer center, two body etiquette centers, a college student activity center, a clinic, a welfare supermarket and a dining center.
