Legal analysis: All new construction, reconstruction and expansion projects of the company have been approved or put on record by the competent investment department, which conforms to the requirements of the national industrial policy and the overall planning of mineral resources, strictly implements the "three simultaneities" procedure for environmental protection of construction projects, and conducts relevant environmental impact assessment. The company passed the ISO 1400 1 environmental management system certification, established and improved various environmental protection systems and emergency plans for sudden environmental incidents, obtained the pollution discharge permit issued by the environmental protection department, and discharged all pollutants up to the standard, actively fulfilled corporate obligations and assumed social responsibilities.
Legal basis: Article 338 of the Criminal Law of People's Republic of China (PRC). Whoever, in violation of state regulations, discharges, dumps or disposes of radioactive wastes, wastes containing infectious disease pathogens, toxic substances or other harmful substances, thus seriously polluting the environment, shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than three years or criminal detention.
