General situation of hydropower plant
1. Qingxi Hydropower Station is located in the middle and lower reaches of Tingjiang River in Qingxi Town, dapu county City, Guangdong Province. It is a medium-and second-class water conservancy and hydropower project with power generation as its main function and shipping irrigation as its key project during the Seventh Five-Year Plan period.
2. This project started in February of 1986 and in March of 1988. Four 36MW axial-flow blade hydro-generator sets were installed. The reservoir is a daily regulating reservoir with a normal water level of 73m and a storage capacity of 594 1 1,000m3.
3. The four units were put into operation on June 3rd, June 3rd, June 30th, June 28th, February 28th and May 24th respectively.
