Jin Daban's plot introduction

Jin Daban (Jin Taipan, Memoirs of Mrs. Jin) is a TV series adapted from the writer Bai Xianyong's short story The Last Night of Jin Daban, which was first broadcast in 2009 and jointly produced by Beijing Tang De International Culture Media Co., Ltd. and Fuzhou Xin 'an Film Animation Co., Ltd.

During the period of Shanghai 1948, Jin was the number one dancer in Paramount Ballroom. She is generous and charitable. Kim and her first lover fell in love regardless of secular criticism. Because of the persecution of reality, the two were forced to separate, leaving behind thoughts and regrets. Things changed, and Kim continued her dancing career in a nightclub in Taiwan Province province. However, her feelings have been ups and downs all her life. Only Guo, a successful businessman, worships Jin and is a heroine. Guo is a modest gentleman, and his wife, who is suffering from lung disease, values her feelings and loyalty. The businessman appreciates Kim very much and wants to marry her and take good care of her for life. However, at the wedding with Kim, Sheng miraculously appeared. In the 1930s, women's meager social status and fate and the destruction of troubled times were directly exposed, and the bleak life of dancers at the bottom of society was also exposed. The story of "Jin Daban" is much fuller than the original novel, which truly shows the life of "dancers" in Shanghai in the 1930s, and the TV series has deepened the desolation of the original novel. The TV series runs through a clear love scene with full colors and stories, changing the gloom and coldness of the original novel.
