Beijing National Engineering Research Center for Biochips is a national R&D institution with the largest sales scale, the strongest R&D strength and the largest number of applications and patents in the field of biochips in China approved by the National Development and Reform Commission (formerly the National Development Planning Commission). Its predecessor was Tsinghua University Biochip R&D Center. On September 30, 2000, according to the instructions of the National Development and Reform Commission, with Tsinghua University as the main sponsor, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China Academy of Medical Sciences and Academy of Military Medical Sciences jointly established the Beijing National Engineering Research Center for Biochips, which was officially awarded the license on 2001kloc-0/0.
