Historical Evolution of Urumqi Central Sub-branch of the People's Bank of China

After the peaceful liberation of Xinjiang, China People's Bank Xinjiang Branch was established on June 23rd, 1950+65438, with the address of Dihua Erdaoqiao (now Urumqi). The establishment of the People's Bank of China Xinjiang Branch quickly reversed the chaotic situation in the financial market and established a new socialist financial order. In the same year, on June 65438+1 October1,Xinjiang Bank was merged into China People's Bank Xinjiang Branch, and its address was moved to Mingde Road 125, and on September 30 1966, it was moved to No.20 Renmin Road, Urumqi. From 65438 to 0979, financial reform began to be fully promoted. In June, China Agricultural Bank Xinjiang Branch was established from China People's Bank Xinjiang Branch. 1984 Urumqi Branch of Bank of China was established by Xinjiang Branch of People's Bank of China, becoming the only specialized foreign exchange bank in Xinjiang. Xinjiang Branch of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, which was originally affiliated to China Bank Urumqi Branch, was placed under the management of Xinjiang Branch of the People's Bank of China in July of the same year. In the same year, China People's Insurance Company Xinjiang Branch went out independently from China People's Bank Xinjiang Branch. 1985, China Industrial and Commercial Bank Xinjiang Branch and China People's Bank Xinjiang Branch were set up separately, and China People's Bank Xinjiang Branch began to exercise various functions of the central bank, and moved into Renmin Road 1988 10, the newly-built 10 floor People's Bank Building (now an old office building). 1998, after the People's Bank of China deepened the system reform, the former People's Bank of China Xinjiang Branch merged with the People's Bank of China Urumqi Branch, renamed as Urumqi Central Branch of the People's Bank of China, and moved to No.395 Renmin Road.
