For a long time, aiming at the demand of "high-speed passenger transport and heavy-load freight transport" in the railway market, the company has successively developed "280 series" diesel engines, Dongfeng 8 diesel locomotives, Dongfeng 9 diesel locomotives, Dongfeng1/KLOC-0 diesel locomotives, Dongfeng 8B diesel locomotives, Dongfeng 8CJ diesel locomotives and "New Dawn". On this basis, products such as Dongfeng 1 1G double-machine reconnection quasi-high-speed passenger diesel locomotive and "Harmonious Great Wall" NDJ3 Olympic tourism diesel EMU have been developed and produced. Among them, Dongfeng 1 1, Dongfeng 8B, Dongfeng 1 1G diesel locomotives took the lead in completing the traction task of the main locomotive of China Railway for six times. It also created the longest running track record in the history of China railway and the world railway-from Beijing to Fuzhou, with a total length of 2,200 kilometers and running time of 19 hour and 38 minutes, which was 14 hour shorter than before the speed increase. The leaders of the Ministry of Railways once spoke highly: "Without the Dongfeng 1 1 of Qishuyan Factory, there would be no four speed increases of China Railway".
