Xiangshan is located in the East China Sea in central Zhejiang, between Xiangshan Port and Sanmen Bay, surrounded by the sea on three sides, and the two ports embrace each other. The county consists of Xiangshan Peninsula and 656 islands and reefs, with a total area of 8,000 square kilometers, including land area of 1.382 square kilometers and sea area of 66 1.8 square kilometers, with a total population of 535,000.

Xiangshan County is located in the south wing of the economically developed Yangtze River Delta in China, and belongs to Ningbo City.
