Historical Development of Korea Electric Power Company
Korea Electric Power Company (KEPCO) is the only electric power company in Korea, established in 1982. The power generation part of KEPCO was divided into six parts in April of 200 1 year. One of them is Korea Hydro-Atomic Energy Corporation (KHNP), which manages all nuclear power capacity and a small amount of hydropower in Korea and is the largest of the six subsidiaries. By the end of June 5438+February, 2005, KHNP had managed four nuclear power plants, namely Guli, Weizhen, Lingguang and Yuecheng, with a total of 20 commercial nuclear power units, of which 16 is a pressurized water reactor and 4 is a heavy water reactor, with a total installed capacity of 17 16MW, 2000.
