Tianjin Port plays an important role in the national comprehensive transportation system and modern logistics system. In recent years, under the correct leadership of Tianjin Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, the development speed of Tianjin Port has been accelerating, and the port functions have been improving day by day. South Xinjiang Bulk Logistics Center, North Xinjiang Container Logistics Center and several cargo distribution centers have been developed and built, and Tianjin International Trade and Shipping Service Center has been built to provide customers with "one-stop" port services, and the port's external radiation and influence have been significantly improved.
At present, Tianjin Port can serve and radiate Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and the central and western regions 14 provinces, cities and autonomous regions, with a total area of nearly 5 million square kilometers, accounting for 52% of the national area. About 70% of the cargo throughput and more than 50% of the import and export value of Tianjin Port come from provinces outside Tianjin, which has a strong radiation and influence on the hinterland. With the economic revitalization around Bohai Sea, the rise of central China and the promotion of western development, the hinterland of Tianjin Port has great economic development potential, which provides good conditions for Tianjin Port.
