The project includes crude oil pipelines, storage and transportation facilities and their ancillary facilities, as well as docks and docks that can unload crude oil from super-large oil tankers and crude oil storage and transportation facilities and other ancillary facilities built near Made Island, Myanmar. The two sides agreed that PetroChina will design, construct, operate and manage the crude oil pipeline project. The starting point of the crude oil pipeline is located in Made Island on the west coast of Myanmar. The starting point of natural gas pipeline is Kyaukphyu kyaukpyu.
Passing through Rakhine State, Magway Province, mandalay province and Shan State in Myanmar, and entering China from Ruili in Yunnan, the oil and gas pipeline will branch off in Anshun, Guizhou, and Chongqing, which was once troubled by "oil shortage", will become the last stop of the long crude oil pipeline. The natural gas pipeline will lead south to Guangxi.
Pipeline length
The total length of Myanmar is 77 1 km.
Total length of domestic crude oil pipeline 163 1 km.
Total length of domestic natural gas pipeline1727km. Yunnan Province
The refinery project of China Petroleum Yunnan Petrochemical Company is a 6.5438+million-ton/year refinery project in Yunnan Province, and the construction site is Caopu Town, Anning, Kunming.
Chongqing
The "export" of China-Myanmar oil pipeline in Chongqing is likely to be located in Changshou Chemical Industry Park. A senior executive of PetroChina Chongqing said, "We have always considered that the export of10 million tons of refineries and pipelines will be located in Changshou Chemical Park, but the final result depends on the approval of the National Development and Reform Commission."
According to the previous preliminary plan, Chongqing is expected to import crude oil100000 tons every year to realize its own "refining dream". With the start of the China-Myanmar crude oil pipeline project, it marks the initial formation of the strategic pattern of four major oil and gas import channels in northeast China (China-Myanmar crude oil pipeline), northwest China (Central Asia natural gas pipeline), southwest China (China-Myanmar oil and gas pipeline) and offshore China (sea channel through the Straits of Malacca), which is conducive to the diversification of oil transportation channels and the security of energy supply in China. China-Myanmar oil and gas pipeline is the fourth largest energy import channel after China-Kazakhstan oil pipeline, Central Asia natural gas pipeline and Sino-Russian crude oil pipeline, which alleviates China's dependence on Malacca Strait and reduces the risk of importing crude oil at sea.
At present, most of China's imported crude oil enters the territory through the Malacca Strait maritime transport channel. The China-Myanmar crude oil pipeline has opened up an important land channel for oil and gas import in southwest China, and added an import channel for China crude oil import, which is conducive to enhancing the oil supply security in China. Cooperation can bring tangible benefits to Myanmar, such as improving local infrastructure, increasing employment opportunities and promoting urbanization along the pipeline.
It is reported that China is not the first country to build a pipeline in Myanmar. The Myanmar-Thailand joint venture company first built a pipeline in Myanmar, and the route was from Myanmar to Thailand. Myanmar exports natural gas through the Myanmar-Thailand gas pipeline, earning more than $2 billion a year.
China-Myanmar oil and gas pipeline can promote the development of Myanmar's petrochemical industry, meet Myanmar's domestic demand for energy (Myanmar needs to import a large amount of diesel and gasoline every year), promote the economic development along the pipeline, promote the overall economic development of Myanmar, and bring more benefits to Myanmar people. From another perspective, Myanmar's economic development will further strengthen economic and trade cooperation with all its neighbors.
The China-Myanmar pipeline is a shortcut to the west of China, which can speed up the construction of the southwest.
Some organizations predict that after the completion of the China-Myanmar oil and gas pipeline project, the southwest of China will increase its refining capacity by 20 million tons/year, with an annual output of refined oil12.77 million tons, including 3/kloc-0.20 million tons of gasoline, 8.4 million tons of diesel and 0/270,000 tons of kerosene/kloc-0. The supporting ethylene project plans to build a plant with an annual output of 6,543,800 tons of ethylene, 6,543,800 tons of synthetic resin and 6,543,800 tons of basic organic raw materials.
The construction of China-Myanmar oil and gas pipeline will not only fill the gap in Yunnan's refined oil production, but also have a great pulling effect on Yunnan's chemical industry, light industry, textile and other industries, and petrochemical industry will become a new important industry in Yunnan Province. The China-Myanmar oil and gas pipeline passes through many cities in Yunnan, which has great practical and far-reaching historical significance for promoting Yunnan's economic structure adjustment and growth mode transformation, accelerating economic and social development, and promoting economic and social progress in border minority areas. In the long run, China can also build roads and railways along the China-Myanmar oil pipeline to turn Kyaukphyu into a transit point for goods exported from southwest China to South Asia, West Asia, Europe and Africa.
