What are the key areas of copper consumption in China? What is the development status of copper industry in China? What are the key enterprises in China copper industry?

Copper consumption industries are mainly concentrated in power, household appliances, construction and automobile industries, and among these four industries, the power industry uses the largest amount of copper.

Key enterprises in China copper industry:

Jiangxi copper industry co., ltd

Yunnan copper industry co., ltd

Tongling nonferrous metals group co., ltd

Anhui Jingcheng copper industry co., ltd

Daye nonferrous metal company

Jinchuan group co., ltd

Copper industry is an important industry of national economy. In China's existing 124 industry, 1 13 departments use copper products, accounting for 9 1%. The copper industry is also highly related to other industries.

The world copper resources are mainly concentrated in Chile, the United States, Zambia, Russia and Peru. Among them, Chile is the country with the richest copper resources in the world, and its copper reserves account for about 1/3 of the world's total reserves. In terms of output, Chile is the largest copper producer in the world, accounting for about 37% of the global output in 2006. In terms of consumption, before 2000, Western European and American countries were the protagonists of copper consumption market, but after 2000, the protagonists of copper consumption market became China, Russian, Indian and Brazil.

Although the use of copper has a long history in China, the copper industry has only developed in the last 50 years. After more than 50 years of construction since the founding of the People's Republic of China, China copper industry has made brilliant achievements, built a relatively complete copper industrial production system, and entered the ranks of important copper producers in the world. In the first three quarters of 2008, the output of copper continued to increase, the import of copper raw materials continued to increase, the trade deficit continued to expand, the investment in fixed assets shifted to mines, and the investment structure was further optimized.

Since 2007, China's macro-economy has been running at a high speed, which has promoted the rapid development of domestic copper market. Domestic copper consumption continues to heat up, new resources are growing strongly, export trade is declining, the relationship between supply and demand in the market is loose, and the pressure is increasing. Influenced by many factors, such as rising energy and raw material prices in the international market, American subprime mortgage debt, world economic expectations, domestic macro-control policies and so on, the market price fluctuated widely at a high level.

In 2007, copper consumption increased steadily on the basis of 2006, and the consumption demand in the copper market increased. The steady growth of domestic consumption is mainly due to the construction of national infrastructure, the acceleration of urbanization in China, the outbreak of real estate industry and the rapid development of transportation industry. From June to August 2008, copper consumption reached 3.3 million tons, up 3.2% year-on-year. From June 5438 to September 2008, the apparent consumption of copper increased by 4.6 1%, much lower than the 37.57% in the same period of 2007, and the growth rate slowed down obviously. Judging from the overall relationship between supply and demand in the domestic copper market, although the growth rate of domestic consumption has improved, the growth rate is far lower than the new resources in the same period. Therefore, the overall market is in a pattern of oversupply.

Air conditioning and electricity are two major copper consumption areas in China. With the strengthening of macro-control, the growth rate of domestic investment has dropped significantly. From the microscopic consumption level of copper, copper consumption industries are mainly concentrated in power, household appliances, construction and automobile industries, and among these four industries, copper consumption in power industry is the largest.

In the later period of the 11th Five-Year Plan, the transformation of urban and rural power grids will still make power cables grow rapidly. In the next two years, the further upgrading of power transmission and transformation equipment, the construction and transformation of large-capacity transmission lines and the further transformation of urban and rural power grids will still bring considerable potential for copper consumption in China.

In the future, China copper industry will develop in the following three directions: speeding up the pace of restructuring and establishing a large copper industry group; Accelerate the exploration and development of mineral resources and improve the self-sufficiency rate of raw materials; Copper processing industry must take the road of technological innovation.
