In 1970s and 1980s, Tianjin Xingang Shipyard has begun to take shape and become the backbone shipbuilding enterprise in China. Because shipbuilding entered the international market earlier, the introduction of international advanced shipbuilding management technology and equipment played a great role in shipbuilding production, which greatly changed the traditional shipbuilding production management concept. At present, Xingang Shipyard basically undertakes the construction of export ships, the construction scale and technology are fully in line with international standards, and the modern shipbuilding mode is actively promoted, with the pre-outfitting rates of bulk carriers and container ships reaching 90% and 80% respectively. The effective application of group technology in shipbuilding production has improved the integrity of segmentation, and the pre-assembly of container feet and superstructure on segmentation are in the leading position in China. The successful construction of Yanda Train Ferry, the most advanced all-electric passenger ro-ro ship integrating train, automobile and passenger transport in China, has established the leading position of Xingang Shipyard in the field of train ferry construction in China. Xingang Shipyard aims at the advanced level of shipbuilding in the world, constantly transforms the production management system, and completes the standard operating procedures of separation, finalization and flow in infield, platform and wharf. A standardized production planning system was established, which improved the relationship among construction plan, loading plan and schedule plan, promoted outfitting project, shortened shipbuilding cycle and improved quality.
The ship repair production of Tianjin Xingang Shipyard relies on the comprehensive design ability and production supporting ability of the enterprise, and strives to provide first-class services for domestic and foreign users with its own modern equipment and management means. It can not only repair ships according to the specifications of China Classification Society (CCS), but also meet the requirements of Lloyd's Register (LR), Japanese Register of Shipping (NK), German Register of Shipping (GL), Korean Register of Shipping (KR) and other international classification societies for repairing and refitting offshore oil platforms and various ships. The ship repair adopts microcomputer management system, which realizes process standardization, technical specialization and dock repair mechanization. In recent years, we have actively explored the repair and modification of high value-added ships, and have successfully repaired and modified chemical ships, ro-ro ships, asphalt ships and other ships for domestic and foreign shipowners, and won unanimous praise from customers.
Tianjin Xingang Shipyard, while developing shipbuilding production, has greatly expanded its business scope, and developed onshore steel structure and machinery manufacturing industry with shipbuilding technology and strong shipbuilding steel structure processing capacity. At present, the manufacturing of port and conveying machinery, metallurgical coking equipment and offshore oil life module has become a fist product and has entered the international market. The crane manufacturing level of Xingang Shipyard has entered the advanced ranks in the world. The 55t- 125m, 66t- 14 1m container cranes that have been delivered for use are the fifth or even the sixth generation of port large container handling machinery in the world, and their automation degree and manufacturing accuracy have reached the international advanced level. In cooperation with Germany's Krupp (TKF) Company, three 6,000t/h shiploaders were successfully built for Shenhua Tianjin Port Coal Terminal Company, which are the largest shiploaders in China at present.
Tianjin Xingang Shipyard Design Institute (Tianjin Gaoxin Technology Engineering Co., Ltd., CSIC Ship Design Center Tianjin Branch) provides technical support for shipbuilding, ship repair and large-scale machinery and equipment manufacturing, and is a comprehensive technical institution mainly engaged in product design and computer software development of marine engineering, various ships, steel structures, port machinery, metallurgical coking equipment, etc. Over the years, under the guidance of lean management and lean design theory, the design level and quality have been continuously improved, the professional quality of the design team has been continuously enhanced, and the design methods have been gradually updated. We have successively completed the design work of dozens of products such as FPSO (floating oil storage tanker), all-electric propulsion train ferry, multi-purpose container crane, container ship, Great Lakes bulk carrier, offshore drilling platform and living module. At present, there are 235 designers, including experts and all kinds of senior and intermediate professional design talents and management talents. All design work has been computerized, and CADDS 5 3D ship design system has been successfully introduced and widely used in ship design.
The national 11th Five-Year Plan puts the construction of Binhai New Area as the key point. In order to develop Tianjin shipbuilding industry and promote the development of related industries, the Tianjin Binhai New Area Management Committee, China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation and Tanggu District People's Government signed the Framework Agreement on Accelerating the Relocation of Xingang Shipyard in Tianjin Lingang Industrial Zone on June 5+10/October 6+August 2006. Tianjin Xingang Shipyard will be moved to Lingang Industrial Zone to build Tianjin Lingang Ship Repair Base of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation. This shipbuilding and ship repairing base is an important part of the layout of the national Bohai shipping industrial base, covering an area of 350 hectares and a coastline of 3,900 meters. According to the product structure planning and layout of developing large-scale shipbuilding, improving ship repairing capacity, developing marine engineering equipment manufacturing and dry port machinery equipment manufacturing, the largest modern assembled ship repairing base in North China with advanced facilities, first-class level, scientific management, outstanding characteristics and environmental friendliness will be built.
After the completion of the base, it will play an important role in vigorously developing Tianjin's shipbuilding industry, stimulating the development of related industries, promoting the upgrading of Tianjin's industrial structure, building a high-level modern manufacturing industry and R&D transformation base, strengthening Tianjin's port positioning, and building Tianjin into an international shipping center and logistics center in northern China. The port-based shipbuilding and ship repairing base can give full play to the advantages of shipbuilding as an advanced large-scale equipment manufacturing industry and play a leading role in building a high-level manufacturing base in Binhai New Area. Make use of the relationship between the shipbuilding industry and the closely related industries in the shipping industry to become bigger and stronger, and play a service role in building the northern international shipping center and international logistics center in Binhai New Area; Grasp the characteristics of shipbuilding industry as a technology-intensive industry, intensify innovation, increase product development and reserve of independent intellectual property rights, and play a demonstration role in technological innovation in the construction of R&D conversion base; Guided by the construction of shipbuilding assembly base, we will extend the industrial chain, give play to the industrial agglomeration effect, and play an engine role for the great development of shipbuilding industry in Binhai New Area.
