Related history
After the completion of Shaobei, Anfeng area produced a large amount of grain every year, and soon became the economic center of Chu State. Chu became more powerful, defeated the powerful Jin army at that time, and Chu Zhuangwang became one of the "five tyrants in the Spring and Autumn Period".
Three hundred years later, in the twenty-second year of Emperor Gaolie of Chu, the State of Chu was defeated by the State of Qin, and King Gaolie moved the capital here and renamed Shouchun Camp. This is of course due to military needs, and it is also because water conservancy has laid an important economic position here. After the transformation of past dynasties, Shaobei has been playing a huge role. In the Eastern Jin Dynasty, it was renamed "Anfengtang" because of the bumper harvest in the irrigation area year after year.
Nowadays, Shaobei has become an important part of Pishihang Irrigation District, with an irrigation area of more than 600,000 mu, which has comprehensive benefits such as flood control, waterlogging elimination, aquatic products and shipping.
