Installation of rubber-lined valve

1. During installation, check valve marks (such as valve model, nominal diameter, pressure grade, material, etc.). ) meet the use requirements, whether the flow direction sign on the shell is consistent with the flow direction of the pipeline.

2. When installing, try to install horizontally so that the valve stem faces upwards. In order to prevent the valve from being skewed, the valve can be installed in a natural state to prevent the valve from generating greater installation stress due to pipelines and supports. During installation and lifting, the handwheel shall not be used to lift the valve.

3. When installing, if the sealing surface of the pipeline flange connected with the rubber lining sealing surfaces at both ends of the valve is metal, a sealing gasket should be added. The sealing surface of the flange connected with it should follow the structure of Figure A, not the structure of Figure B, otherwise the sealing surface of the valve will be damaged and leak prematurely.

4. If the pipeline is strong enough to bear the weight and operating torque of the valve, there is no need to support the valve, otherwise the rubber-lined valve should be provided with special support points.

3. When in use, prevent the rubber-lined valve from generating excessive pipeline stress due to temperature change, minimize temperature change, and add U-shaped expansion joints before and after the valve.

4. It is forbidden to use lever to open and close the rubber-lined valve. Pay attention to the indicated position and limit device of rubber lining valve. After opening and closing in place, do not forcibly close it to avoid premature damage to the rubber sealing surface.

5. For some unstable and easily decomposed media (for example, the decomposition of some media will cause volume expansion and abnormal increase of working pressure), thus causing valve damage or leakage, measures should be taken to eliminate or limit the factors that cause the decomposition of unstable media. When selecting valves, it is necessary to consider the possible changes of working conditions caused by unstable and easily decomposed media, and choose rubber-lined valves with automatic pressure relief devices.

6. For rubber-lined valves on pipelines with toxic, flammable, explosive and corrosive media, it is forbidden to replace the packing under pressure. Although the rubber-lined valve has the function of upper seal in design, it is not recommended to replace the packing under pressure.

7. For pipelines with spontaneous combustion medium, measures should be taken to ensure that the ambient temperature and working temperature do not exceed the spontaneous combustion point of the medium, so as to prevent the danger caused by sunlight or external fire sources.

8. For the severe and long-term vibration of the pipeline, measures should be taken to eliminate it, so as not to damage the rubber lining valve.

9. In the process of using rubber-lined valves, the rubber sealing surface is often damaged by medium crystallization and solid particles because of its soft texture, resulting in seal leakage. Repair or replace the seal in time after discovery.

10. Some rubber-lined valves are partially opened in use to adjust the flow rate, and the sealing surface is damaged prematurely due to the high speed of the medium. In this case, the seal should be replaced in time.

After adjusting and unscrewing the gland, the valve cannot be opened and closed flexibly, so it should be disassembled for inspection, dirt removal and troubleshooting.
