State-owned enterprises China Ocean Shipping (Group) Company, referred to as COSCO or COSCO for short, is the largest shipping company in Chinese mainland, one of the largest ocean shipping companies in the world and one of the 53 super-large state-owned enterprises in People's Republic of China (PRC). It was reorganized by China Ocean Shipping (Group) Corporation and China Shipping (Group) Corporation. It is a super-large central enterprise directly managed by the State Council SASAC, headquartered in Shanghai and registered in Lujiazui Financial Zone, Pudong Free Trade Zone, Shanghai.
