What radar devices does Italy's Matt 2 air-to-ship missile have?
Italy's Mate 2 air-to-ship missile is equipped with an active radar seeker at the head for terminal guidance. There are two kinds of radar seeker to choose from, one is X-band dual-axis monopulse radar seeker made by Thomson -CSF of France, and the other is ST-2 single-axis seeker made by SMA of Italy. The warhead cabin is equipped with a semi-armor-piercing blasting warhead with a weight of 2 10kg and a charge of 60 kg, which can penetrate the deck with a thickness of 38 mm, and adopts a trigger delay fuse and a proximity fuse. The electronic equipment cabin is equipped with an inertial navigation system for midcourse guidance, so that the missile can fly according to the predetermined target orientation. The radar altimeter controls the missile to be at a certain height, and turns on the terminal guidance active radar to search for the target when it is at a distance of 15~ 12 km. Once the target is captured, it will start the terminal guidance. The electronic equipment cabin is also equipped with radar altimeter, guidance computer, converter, junction box and regulator. 1 The turbojet main engine, oil tank, lubricating oil tank and steering gear are installed in the power plant and steering gear room. Four air inlets on the same plane as the wing are installed outside the shell, and the wing roots of the wing are fixed on the air inlets.
