Introduction of Rogers Communication Company

Rogers Communications (TSX: RCI). TSX: RCI。 B, NYSE: RCI) is one of the largest communication companies in Canada, established in Toronto, Canada, 1920. Its business areas include cable TV distribution, video retail, digital personal computers, paging and data communication, high-speed Internet access, TV broadcasting, professional channel services, telecom stores and new media services. Its publishing group publishes consumer magazines, professional business periodicals and catalogues. The company has been one of the top 500 enterprises in Canada since 1995. Edward Rogers is the founder, former chairman and CEO of the company. Since Mr Rogers died of heart failure in February 2008, Allen Horn is the current chairman and CEO of the company.

At present, Rogers Communications' main competitor in Ontario and Quebec is Bell Canada, and research institute Telus is competing with it in the field of wireless communication services in Canada, Ontario and Quebec. Other competitors include satellite TV service Starchoice.
