Zhejiang Jiahua Breeding Pig Co., Ltd. is a joint-stock company established on the basis of enterprise restructuring in Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province. It is one of the national key original pig farms designated by the Ministry of Agriculture (only 20 in China). It is the implementation unit of Canada-Canada lean-meat pig cooperation project (CIDA project) and the demonstration base of pig production in China. Jinhua breeding pig farm was established in 1953. Over the years, our farm has undertaken the conservation, development and utilization of Jinhua pig, a famous local pig in China, and the breeding and promotion of Yorkshire, Duroc, Landrace and other excellent pig breeds introduced from abroad, and accumulated rich breeding and promotion tasks. It has the honors of "National Key Original Breeding Pig Farm", "National Best Livestock and Poultry Breeding Enterprise", "National Excellent Pig Raising Enterprise", "Zhejiang Spark Science and Technology Demonstration Base", "Jinhua Science and Technology Agricultural Leading Enterprise" and "Jinhua Excellent Agricultural Leading Enterprise". Canadian Yorkshire, Jinhua Pig and other high-quality breeding pigs won the Gold Award of Zhejiang Quality Agricultural Products and famous brand products in Zhejiang Province, and Jinhua Pig (breeding pig) was also recognized as a famous brand product of 99' China International Agricultural Expo. In the breeding pig testing organized by Zhejiang Breeding Pig Testing Center, the Yorkshire breeding pigs selected by our farm have won the comprehensive performance index champion for many times since the first session.
At present, the company produces more than 500 Yorkshire, Jinhua pig, Landrace pig and Duroc sow 1000, and can provide more than 20,000 qualified breeding pigs1000 and commercial pigs for export, supply and domestic sale. The company's existing total assets are RMB 260,654,380+million. In 2002, the sales revenue was 20.26 million yuan and the annual sales profit was 520,000 yuan. There are 47 scientific and technical personnel, including 38 with college education or above, and 20 with middle and senior titles, with strong technical force. At the same time, the company has also established breeding pig genetic breeding center, Jinhua double-headed black pig research institute and other scientific research institutions.
