When was the latest company law revised?

Legal Analysis: The Company Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) is a law formulated to standardize the organization and behavior of companies, protect the legitimate rights and interests of companies, shareholders and creditors, maintain social and economic order and promote the development of socialist market economy.

On February 29th, it was adopted at the Fifth Session of the Standing Committee of the Eighth NPC, 1993, and was revised several times in 2004, 2005, 20 13 and 20 18.

According to the Decision on Amending the Company Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) issued by the Sixth Session of the 13th NPC Standing Committee on October 26th, 2008/KLOC-0, the current version was revised for the fourth time.

Article 1 This Law is formulated for the purpose of regulating the organization and behavior of companies, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of companies, shareholders and creditors, maintaining social and economic order and promoting the development of socialist market economy.

Article 2 The term "company" as mentioned in this Law refers to limited liability companies and joint stock limited companies established in China according to this Law.
