Introduction: The former Institute of Coal Science Research is Beijing Institute of Coal Research, which was established in 1957. 1 July, 19991day, according to the requirements of the State Council State Office Letter No.38 [1999] and National Research Bureau Certificate No.38 [1999] 143, the General Institute of Coal Science and its branches and research institutes were transformed into the management of the Central Enterprise Working Committee. In September 2008, with the approval of the State Council, China Coal International Engineering Design and Research Institute and China Coal Research Institute were reorganized and merged to form China Coal Science and Technology Group Co., Ltd., which became a wholly-owned subsidiary of the group company. In May 20 14, the General Institute of Coal Science and Technology was restructured and renamed as "Coal Science and Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd.".
