Introduction of ZTE VI B accident

Zhongxing 6B was successfully launched on July 5, 2007, and the "Zhongxing 6B" satellite with a design life of 16.5 suddenly broke down, resulting in the interruption of all the 150 TV programs transmitted by CCTV, China Education TV and 23 provincial satellite TVs for 47 minutes.

According to CCTV reports, on February 9th, 2009, the failure time of Zhongxing 6B satellite was ***47 minutes from 1 1:47:03 to13:1. At the same time, because the central radio and television programs are also transmitted through the Sino-3 satellite and the national radio and television private network, the reception of central radio and television programs throughout the country has not been affected during the satellite failure. After the satellite transmission accident of "Zhongxing 6B", the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT) informed several important organizations about the accident. On the same day, at the official website, SARFT also announced the accident. The announcement pointed out, "At present, Zhongxing 6B satellite has resumed normal operation, and satellite operator China Live Satellite Co., Ltd. is further searching for the cause of satellite failure and will take measures to ensure the safety of satellite transmission."

A related person from China Live Star said, "The State Administration of Radio, Film and Television has released some news about the specific cause of the failure, which shall prevail, but it is certainly not a human factor."
