He is the author of The Origin of Private Law and the Analogy of International Law (1927), The Role of Law in the International Society (1933), The Development of International Law by the International Court of Justice (1958), International Law and Human Rights (1950). He also edited Oppenheim Report on International Law and International Law and British Yearbook of International Law 1944- 1955.
