China Electro-hydraulic Control Technology Development Center, the predecessor of Shanghai Xinhua Control Technology (Group) Co., Ltd., is a collective-owned enterprise specially established by 1985 to realize the localization of the control system of thermal power generation equipment. At the end of 1980s and the beginning of 1990s, the digital electro-hydraulic control system (DEH), data acquisition system (DAS) and distributed digital control system (DCS) of large steam turbine units in thermal power plants were successfully developed, which filled the domestic blank, realized localization for the first time in China, and established the largest and most powerful research, development, production and engineering base of DEH and DCS in thermal power plants in China, which is the automation of China thermal power plant. According to the statistics of professional investigation institutions hired by foreign counterparts, in 2003-2004, the market share of Xinhua products in DEH and thermal power unit DCS exceeded 90% and 72% respectively. After more than 20 years' unremitting efforts, Xinhua Group has become a private high-tech enterprise that provides design, manufacture and integration of automation control system for electric power, environmental protection, municipal engineering, cement, petrochemical, metallurgy, paper making, subway rail transit and other industries.

Xinhua Group specializes in control system design, software and hardware development, hardware manufacturing and control system assembly, providing users with complete sets of automatic control equipment and automatic control systems of various scales, providing optimization software and integrated management and control software, and providing comprehensive automatic control solutions for power plants, power transmission and transformation, water supply, sewage treatment, environmental protection, municipal engineering, cement, chemical industry, paper making, steel and other industries. Xinhua Group has two manufacturing plants (Xinhua Electronics produces DEH and DCS cards, and Xinhua Hydraulic produces EH sets in DEH), which ensures the hardware quality and long-term reliable supply of Xinhua Group's automatic control system.

Over the past year, the achievements have covered automatic control systems such as DAS, MCS, SCS, FSSS, ECS, DEH, ETS, MEH, ATC, SIS, auxiliary machine control, desulfurization control, denitrification control and ash discharge control of large units of 300MW and above, small and medium-sized units of 200MW and below, waste heat power generation and circulating fluidized bed units. In addition, XDC800 has been successfully introduced into overseas markets, and has been applied to the integrated control system of DCS, DEH, MEH and SIS of Sudan Raf 3* 135MW unit.
