Facing the huge growth space of automotive semiconductor market in the future, Infineon has been preparing for a long time. The electrification of power system brings great growth opportunities. Infineon has corresponding products in IGBT and silicon carbide, which will be put on the market one after another in the future for different scenarios.
Cao pointed out that Infineon power semiconductors cover key application fields of new energy vehicles, as well as silicon-based and silicon carbide-based technologies. Infineon has 25 years of development experience in the field of silicon carbide technology, and related products for main inverter and vehicle charger are being mass-produced. "Infineon's silicon carbide technology is applied to the main inverter, and the cruising range under the system based on 800 volts can be increased by more than 7%."
According to the specific supporting conditions, Infineon power devices were used in the electric drive system of 15 of Bever and PHEV, which were the best-selling vehicles in the world in 20 19.
