With the approval of China Insurance Regulatory Commission, Japan Property Insurance (China) Co., Ltd. was restructured from Dalian Branch, the former Japanese property insurance company, and officially opened in July 2005. At present, it is the only foreign-funded property insurance company in northern China and the only foreign-funded property insurance company headquartered in Dalian in China.

As one of the top 500 companies in the world, Japan Property Insurance Company is the second largest property insurance company in Japan and one of the first foreign insurance institutions to enter Dalian.
