Summary of Hefei Software Park

Hefei Software Park was established in September, 1999. In September 2000, it was recognized as "National Torch Program Software Industry Base" by the Ministry of Science and Technology, and won the title of "Advanced Torch Program Software Industry Base" in 2003. It consists of four parts: incubation base, industrial base, branch of China University of Science and Technology and branch of Hegong University. Over the past three years, the base industry has developed strongly and various economic indicators have increased substantially. At present, more than 80% software enterprises in the city have settled in the software park. Sales revenue accounts for more than 80% of the province's software industry. The construction area of the incubation base is 70,000 square meters, and the industrial base planning is 1 10,000 mu. The first phase of the project covers an area of 200 mu, with a total construction area of1.2000 square meters. Construction began in early 2002 and was basically completed by the end of 2003. The second phase of the project covers an area of 800 mu and is included in the overall planning of the Science City as a key construction project.

The preferential support policies and good software and hardware environment of Hefei Software Park attract domestic and foreign software development enterprises. At present, more than 150 enterprises have settled in the park. Many software products developed by enterprises in the park have advanced international or domestic levels. For example, the intelligent Chinese speech platform and series of products developed by Iflytek Information Technology Co., Ltd., University of Science and Technology of China, are organically integrated into IBM's ViaVoice Chinese speech recognition technology, bringing together the world's highest level Chinese speech synthesis and recognition technology, making "as long as you can speak, you can use a computer" a reality; SuperVoice fax software developed by Asia Micro Information Technology Co., Ltd. occupies 60% of the domestic market; The 0. 18 micron display chip designed by INTU Microelectronics Company is widely used in information appliances, with users all over the world.
