Introduction to Yun-12
Yun-12 (code: Y- 12, English: Harbin Y- 12) transport aircraft is a light dual-engine multi-purpose transport aircraft 1 developed by AVIC Harbin Aircraft Manufacturing Company on the basis of Yun-1. The main improvements of Yun-12 include replacing two Pratt & Whitney PT6A three-blade turboprop engines with new airfoils, bonded structures and integral fuel tanks; Inclined strut linear upper wing; An upturned rear fuselage; Large dorsal fin, ventral fin under tail cone. 1985, Yun-12 was awarded the first civil aircraft type certificate by the Civil Aviation Administration of China, and 1986 was awarded the first production license by the Bureau.
