1. How long is the business license valid, as the case may be:
(1) The business license of individual industrial and commercial households is valid for ever;
(2) The business license of a sole proprietorship enterprise is valid for one year and will be renewed after the expiration;
(3) The validity period of the business license of a foreign-capital enterprise can generally be set at 20 years, with a maximum of 30 years;
(4) The business license of a limited company is generally valid for 10 years, and the extension formalities can be handled after the expiration;
(5) The validity period of the representative office registration certificate is 1 year, which needs to be extended every year.
2. Legal basis: Article 10 of the Regulations on Individual Industrial and Commercial Households.
Where the registered items of individual industrial and commercial households change, they shall apply to the registration authority for registration of change.
If an individual industrial and commercial household changes its operator, it shall re-apply for registration by the new operator after the cancellation of registration. Individual industrial and commercial households that implement family business shall go through the formalities of change in accordance with the provisions of the preceding paragraph if they change their operators among family members.
2. What materials do I need to apply for a business license?
1. Application for individual industrial and commercial households or application for registration signed by the applicant;
2. The identity certificate of the applicant;
3. Proof of business place;
4. Other documents required by the State Administration of Market Supervision;
5. Power of attorney of the designated representative or entrusted agent;
6. If it is a registered company business license, it is also required to submit a copy of the articles of association, shareholder qualification certificate or natural person identity certificate signed by all shareholders.
