It is a large marine aquarium integrating ecological protection, marine knowledge, marine aquatic products, science and education and sightseeing.
Xiamen Underwater World has novel facilities and modern equipment, and the most prominent facility is the subsea tunnel. The cross-harbour tunnel is 80m long and1.5m wide. Entering the cross-harbour tunnel, standing on the electric trail, you can see the sunken fish ponds on both sides. Passengers can enter the underwater world to swim with the fish without diving, and see the fish world in all directions from top to bottom, left and right. An endless stream of fish is close at hand, passing by, fierce sharks with sharp teeth come on, free and slow giant fish float overhead ... Divers feed the fish underwater, and the wonderful scenes of fish competing for food and mermaids mixing together are amazing.
Another unique facility of Xiamen Underwater World is a cylindrical fish pond with a height of 7 meters and a diameter of 2.5 meters. This height is equivalent to nearly three stories. You can watch the fish moving on the surface and bottom on the steps. The three-dimensional effect is more obvious. Large cylindrical fish tanks in the South China Sea mainly display colorful coral fish.
