Why can't general property insurance companies automatically transfer with the transfer of property ownership?

The automatic change of policy occurs in some property insurance contracts, and the ownership of the insured object is transferred due to legal acts such as the sale, transfer and inheritance of the insured property, thus causing the change of the insured or the insured.

One of the changes is to allow the policy to be automatically transferred with the transfer of ownership of the subject matter insured, and the applicant and the insured can also automatically change with the transfer of the subject matter insured without the consent of the insurer. This is the case with general cargo transportation insurance contracts.
