On September 27th, 2009, it was renamed as China Three Gorges Corporation, with 2 academicians of China Academy of Engineering, 75 experts enjoying special government allowance and 2 national experts with outstanding contributions.
The strategic positioning of the group company is a clean energy group focusing on large-scale hydropower development and operation, and its main business is hydropower project construction and management, power production and related professional and technical services. China Three Gorges Corporation is fully responsible for the construction and operation of the Three Gorges Project.
Business of Three Gorges Group
China Three Gorges Corporation has 10 wholly-owned and holding subsidiaries. Among them, China Changjiang Electric Power Co., Ltd. is a listed company controlled by the group company, which is the main body of the power production management of the group company, and has all the generator sets that have been put into production in Gezhouba Power Station and Three Gorges Project; Yangtze Three Gorges Group International Investment Co., Ltd. is mainly engaged in the investment and development of overseas clean energy projects.
China Three Gorges New Energy Company is mainly engaged in the development of new energy sources such as wind power and solar energy. Yangtze Three Gorges Technology and Economic Development Co., Ltd. is mainly engaged in engineering management consulting and supervision business; Three Gorges Finance Co., Ltd. is a non-bank financial institution specialized in serving the group company and its member units.
