On July 1 day, 2004, a newly-built ductile iron pipe workshop with an annual output of 400,000 tons was put into operation in just nine months. It is the largest and most advanced single ductile iron pipe workshop in the world. The product specification is DN 80 mm- 1400 mm, and the whole production line is controlled by computer. The third step is to develop large-diameter thick-walled seamless steel pipes. The research on centrifugal casting tube blank-radial forging large-diameter seamless steel tube casting process and other related production processes and equipment is being carried out to replace the traditional production process of seamless steel tube and fill the blank of industrial production of large-diameter thick-walled seamless steel tube in China. The project has been included in the second batch of key scientific and technological projects in the second phase of the Tenth Five-Year Plan in Anhui Province, and has been officially approved by the state.
